We included Roy Mann and Eran Zinman on our “Best Public Speakers” list because of their relaxed style and dynamic teamwork on stage. Roy and Eran are Israeli Co-Founders and Co-CEOs at Monday.com. They are in the process of going public.

The best public speakers event we reviewed: Interview at the Elevate Conference

Roy and Eran's greatest public speaking skills:

  1. Professional Presence: Both men are an example of Co-CEO’s presenting well. They do not interrupt.

  2. Mission: Their mission is clear. They are devoted to helping professional organizations be more successful and organized. They are humble about their success and proud of their software.

  3. Teamwork: They are very comfortable and relaxed in front of the audience. Their friendship and trust in each other is clear, and they have a brotherly ease between them. They work together to cover all of the bases in the interview.

  4. Personality: Eran is great at punchy statements. Roy uses out-of-the-box analogies.

  5. Answering Questions: They make sure they understand exactly what is being asked during the interview.

What Roy and Eran could do to improve their public speaking skills:

  1. Posture: Both men should sit taller on their stools.

  2. Visual Presence: Both men are dressed very casually for this interview.

  3. Vocal Presence: Bringing more vocal energy would make for an even more dynamic and memorable presentation. More vocal highlighting can help bring the focus of the audience to areas they are most excited about.

  4. Sensitivity: When Eran uses profanity and says the “f-word” it gets a laugh and it also speaks to their internal professional culture where that kind of language is accepted. Before using profanity, it is important to ask oneself, “Do people swear in meetings?”, “Am I expected to swear?”, and “How does this make my audience feel?”.
